This Privacy Policy explains what information magnatefall.com (“Magnatefall”, “we”, “us”) collects when you visit the site, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep data collection to the minimum needed to run, protect and improve the site.
Who we are
Magnatefall is a business documentary channel and companion website at https://magnatefall.com. For any privacy question or request, email [email protected].
Information we collect
- Information you send us: if you email us or use the contact form, we receive your name, email address and whatever you include in your message. We use it only to reply.
- Usage data: pages viewed, approximate location (country/city level), device, browser, referring site and similar statistics, collected through Google Analytics (see below).
- Technical and security data: IP address, user agent and request details, processed by our hosting provider and our security plugin to keep the site online and protected.
We do not sell your personal information for money, and we do not run user accounts for visitors. Advertising cookies are covered in the Advertising section below.
Google Analytics (via Google Site Kit)
We use Google Analytics 4, connected through the official Google Site Kit plugin, to understand how many people visit and which articles they read. Google Analytics uses cookies (such as _ga and _ga_*) and similar technologies to collect usage data, which Google processes on our behalf. Google Analytics 4 does not log or store full IP addresses. Learn how Google uses this data at How Google uses information from sites that use its services. You can opt out with the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on or by blocking cookies in your browser.
Advertising (Google AdSense)
We may show ads through Google AdSense to help fund our documentaries. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user’s prior visits to this website or other websites.
Google’s use of advertising cookies, including the DoubleClick DART cookie, enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this site and/or other sites on the Internet. Learn more in How Google uses cookies in advertising.
You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings (https://adssettings.google.com). You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalized advertising at www.aboutads.info. If you opt out, you will still see ads, but they will be less relevant to you.
Visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland: before any advertising cookies are used, you will see a consent message, provided through Google’s certified consent management platform (IAB TCF). You can accept, reject or manage your choices, and change them at any time through the “Privacy and cookie settings” link shown on the site. If you do not consent, Google may show only non-personalized or limited ads.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA): you have the right to know what personal information is collected, to request its deletion, and to opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. We do not sell personal information for money, but sharing cookie data with ad partners may count as a “sale” or “share” under California law. To opt out, use the “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information” message shown to US state visitors, enable the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal in your browser, or email [email protected]. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
Google Search Console
We use Google Search Console to monitor how the site appears in Google Search. It reports aggregated search data and does not place cookies on your device.
YouTube embeds
Our articles embed videos from our YouTube channel. When you load or play an embedded video, YouTube (a Google service) may set cookies and collect information about your device and viewing, under the Google Privacy Policy. Where possible we use the privacy-enhanced mode (youtube-nocookie.com) and lazy-load embeds so that YouTube content is not loaded until you scroll to it. Clicking through to YouTube takes you to Google’s own site and terms.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. This site uses:
- Strictly necessary cookies set by WordPress and our security and caching tools to deliver pages and protect the site.
- Analytics cookies set by Google Analytics, described above.
- Third-party cookies set by YouTube when you watch an embedded video, and by Google and its partners for advertising where you have consented (see Advertising above).
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings at any time. Blocking necessary cookies may affect how parts of the site work.
Answers from Magnatefall AI are generated with Google Gemini; the question you type and public article text are sent to Google to produce the answer.
Cookies and storage at a glance
| Name | Set by | Purpose | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
mf-theme (browser local storage, not a cookie) | Magnatefall | Remembers whether you chose Day or Night mode. It never leaves your device. | Until you clear it |
_ga, _ga_* | Google Analytics | Counts visits and pages read, anonymously | Up to 2 years |
Advertising cookies (for example __gads, __gpi, IDE) | Google AdSense and partners | Show and measure ads, only where ads run and, in the EEA/UK/Switzerland, only with your consent | Up to 13 months |
Consent cookies (for example FCCDCF, FCNEC) | Google consent message | Remember your privacy choices | Up to 13 months |
| YouTube cookies | YouTube (Google) | Set only after you click to play an embedded video | Varies |
Security cookies (for example wfwaf-authcookie-*) | Wordfence | Protect the site’s login; set for site administrators only, not visitors | Session / 12 hours |
Videos in our articles load only when you press play. Until then, we show a still image and nothing is loaded from YouTube.
Security: Wordfence
We use Wordfence Security to protect the site against attacks, spam and unauthorized logins. To do this, Wordfence processes visitors’ IP addresses, browser details and request information, may set a cookie used to verify human visitors, and may send limited data such as IP addresses to Wordfence (Defiant, Inc.) to check them against threat intelligence. See the Wordfence Privacy Policy.
Performance: LiteSpeed Cache
We use LiteSpeed Cache to serve pages faster. It stores cached copies of public pages on our server and may set technical cookies (for example to tell logged-in administrators apart from visitors, or to support guest mode). It does not track you for advertising. If image optimization through QUIC.cloud is enabled, only our own site images are sent for processing, not visitor data.
Hosting, backups and email
The site is hosted by Hostinger, which processes server logs (including IP addresses) to operate and secure its service. Site backups, made with UpdraftPlus, are stored in our Google Drive account. Emails sent to us are handled by our email provider.
Comments
Comments are currently off. If we enable them in the future, the name, email and comment text you submit, along with your IP address, will be stored to display and moderate the comment.
How long we keep data
Messages you send us are kept only as long as needed to handle your request. Google Analytics data is retained according to the retention period set in our Analytics account (14 months). Security logs and backups are kept for a limited period and then overwritten.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU/UK or the CCPA in California), you may have the right to access, correct, delete or restrict the use of your personal data, or object to its processing. To make a request, email [email protected]. We will respond within a reasonable time and may need to verify your identity.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
